Frustrated by his inability to convince computer security officials to publicize the security flaws in the Internet, he calls John Markoff, a New York Times reporter, and tells him about the attack.

January 20. Richard Ress, FBI, calls Tsutomu. Andrew describes the situation to Levord Burns. Markoff agrees with CERT to postpone publication of the story until Monday.
